hi guys!


lol sorry for the fragmented last post. i got on here to update but i was a biiiit tipsy and didn't get very far.
tonight im having fun girls night with ava, claudia and leila. we're making some poetry collab project! also im making a very cute little crochet purse/tote with a sun design. im going to try to sew a lining in, which i've never done before (feeling ambitious!). we're supposed to be vending at ava's friend's party on the 17th of this month, so i'm hoping to have that (and the poetry collab zines) done by then. many prototypes yet to come.
last night, i went out with isa and ali. man... what a time! i met an interesting (and big and burley) dude named kollin. i think he is probably super stupid, but for an evening, i was woo'ed.

merrrrry christmas eve my friends!

today has been pretty fun for me. i went around and ran some final pre-christmas errands. i semi-recently became an aunt, and so, on the advice of a friend of mine (grace!) i had to get my niece some 'pete the cat' books. man, he's one kind cat! pete is so nice to his friends, and really doesn't let the world get to him. i sort've wish someone read these books to me when i was little, i think it could've helped my temperment. oh well! i'm going to try and be more like pete.

later in the day, i exchanged poetry with a good friend of mine (ava!), and we resolved to put together a collection together, at some point. i really want to make this work. she's incredibly bright and incredibly dear to me. she said that she thinks our poetic voices compliment each other, and that meant so much to me. she's one of the only people who i can share my love of poetry with and who really gets it.

we sent things back and forth that we wrote when we were younger and that was a real trip. god, memory lane is weird. i took myself so seriously when i was a teenager! i guess everybody does. but you can really tell from my writing that i'm young and trying to take authority through 'proper' form. i think it's funny considering how haphazard and fragmented my writing is now lol. i'm going to make all my poems public at some point, but the formatting probably won't be too pretty. i also hope to put together an e-mail list for poetry that my friends and i write/find interesting. if that sounds like something you'd be into, reach out to me!

this is my first blog entry!
currently, i'm in this very strange limbo of my last winter break as an undergraduate. i spent most the day working on law school applications. i guess that's going to be the next phase of my life.
